    PC power consumption (and general)

Thanks! I think that's it, it's cumulative for the hour, based on 15 minute segments. It's def. the Central A/C then; it's a 3 ton Goodman split condenser / compressor which I think consumes 3.5 kWh, and I have two CAs, but I only use one at a time (I have three levels, the 3 ton is for the...

    PC power consumption (and general)

Thanks for the quick reply, these are 15 minute intervals, I've attached two more screenshots, one of the peak usage of 15 minutes and the other, the daily total kWh used on the Con Edison website. The meter is difficult to read, it gives many different kWh numbers, followed by a series of...

    PC power consumption (and general)

Hey Everyone, In an endeavor to reduce my electric bill (in NYC, it's about .34 cents a kWh) I'm tracking my power consumption now that I got a smart meter. The smart meter said I used 62 kWh on Saturday. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I would need to average 2.5 kWh per hour for the given...

Enthoo Lux Fan Controller + Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P Installation

Thanks sneekypeet. I used the CPU_OPT for the CPU Fan since the cable was not long enough to get around to the fan hub. I put the hub into the CPU_FAN and all is working well. I assume the Shadow Rock Slim is running at full speed, as the ambient is 22C and the CPU ~ is 23C, peaking at around...

Enthoo Lux Fan Controller + Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P Installation

Thanks sneekypeet, I'm in process of building it today, so, please let me know if this would work: 1. Connect hub to CPU_FAN 2. Connect CPU Air Cooler to Hub; noting where it's keyed, so it'll connect the 4 pin female CPU cooler into the 3 pin male on the fan hub. 3. Apply Sata power connection...

Enthoo Lux Fan Controller + Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P Installation

Thanks for the quick reply! It turns out that I cant use the CPU_OPT as the BeQuiet CPU Fan Cooler fan will run at full speed. Then i'm stuck, as the fan controller will not accept the 4 Pin connection from the CPU cooler without buying another adapter to connect the CPU cooler to the...

Enthoo Lux Fan Controller + Gigabyte GA-X99-UD3P Installation

Hi everyone, Can someone let me know if I can connect the 4 pin fan controller to my MB's CPU_OPT instead of CPU_FAN? The Enthoo Lux fan controller does not have a 4 Pin connection to connect my CPU cooling fan to. So I assume, I can connect the fan controller to the CPU_OPT and plug my cooler...

    i7 2600 + 1070 @ 1080P avg 50FPS in GTA V normal?

The Sandy Bridge i7 2600, non-k, can achieve a limited overclock, from what I read and achieved, without the BCLK, close to 4.2 GHz, at 34+4+4 -> 34 base & +4 (multiplier) & +4 (turbo) using the Z68 and Z77 chipset and if the Motherboard manufacturer allows it, which Gigabyte does on the two...

    i7 2600 + 1070 @ 1080P avg 50FPS in GTA V normal?

Just a quick update: I wasn't sure what you meant by "you can overclock the i7 2600 at least 4 multipliers" until I realized that I could (I assumed it was locked to 3.4GHz + Turbo, meaning I thought you meant turbo which I originally had off) On my Z77 motherboard, the multiplier is 34, and...

AMD Readies Nine Ryzen Threadripper Models

Thanks, I'd love to get one, but I think I'll be waiting for the Ryzen Plus/2 release, as the TR chips while fairly priced (I think the 12 Core will go for ~$549 from what I read), but the MB and Memory will be very expensive, too cost prohibitive for me.

AMD Readies Nine Ryzen Threadripper Models

Anyone think this will have the same bandwidth/clock issues like the Ryzen chips using the infinity fabric clocked to memory speed or did they take a new approach to prevent that with the new chipset?

    i7 2600 + 1070 @ 1080P avg 50FPS in GTA V normal?

Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread, I really appreciate it, but I'm sorry I that I just don't have the time this week to reply back to everyone individually, but I did read every reply and I thank you all. Ok, on to the update... Antec 900. 1. I was mistaken, I bought the Enthoo Luxe...

    i7 2600 + 1070 @ 1080P avg 50FPS in GTA V normal?

Thanks, I'll get that now, I've been using Core Temp (old version) and CPUID Hardwaremonitor -- ugh, yep, I'm on Win 7. I ordered two from Amazon, if this goes well on my main box, I'll do the same on my cent os box.

    i7 2600 + 1070 @ 1080P avg 50FPS in GTA V normal?

Thanks! Not sure, I couldn't easily find a tool to tell me what my current CPU frequency is running at when I enabled turbo, but it was high enough (voltage wise I assume) to hit 98C, compared to highs in the high 70's without it. I'm going to try to record it too, and I'll follow-up, if not...

    i7 2600 + 1070 @ 1080P avg 50FPS in GTA V normal?

Great to hear -- yep, my goal is to pass on the Zen and wait for Pinnacle Ridge. I'll put my 680 back in this machine and give it to my son and put the 1070 in the new Ryzen build. By that time, maybe in 4 more years, I expect the caps to start failing and maybe some other parts on the MB....but...
