Sorry guys, but what is this nonsense?!?! :kookoo:
All AMD AM5 B650(E), X670(E), B850, X870(E) motherboard share the SAME AMD Promontory21 SoC... :wtf:
Yes, there is a previous-gen AMD chipset in the AM5, it's called Promontory19 and used in the older AM4 motherboards - but they called AMD...
I laughed too hard. Announced?
Again?
How many dates they announced in the past 12 years and missed every one of them?
Yea, I give myself money for this vaporware too.... Shame on me....
For the cheap desktop office machines that's more than enough.
For APU's there is not really an issue because the APU's never got enough PCI-Express lanes for fully support a 16x dVGA card. The Phoenix1 provide 8x, the Phoenix2 provide just 4x!
There are still lower level non-mentioned mobo's...
...the highest stable memory speed you can achieve with a 1:1 parity between the FCLK and MCLK clock domains....
Emmm... no, UCLK = MCLK, other name: Gear1.
The FCLK are totally unbound to the UCLK / MCLK (just as the Zen4 Raphael case).
Nope, the GN and they followers spreading misinformation about this case.
Please show me those "VAST majority of AM5 boards burning up".
That's the rant I have had done before and after that there is a big silence follow up because even on the Reddit we got one AsRock and two ASUS example and...
Honestly I'm only chooses ASUS after the GN roasting they AM5 boards.
I hardly can support what GN done in their YouTube channel.
Just check they viewer numbers, they deliberately making insulting and scandal-mongering videos and those got the most views.
Who cares about reviewing a VGA or...
My problem is the Noctua build for longevity. I have Noctua fans which works for 5-6 years 7/24/365.
They still remain whisper quiet.
I have had Thermalright cooler, because so many positive reviews exits for them.
And the fans become louder and louder after 2 years so I exchange them with...
The IOD of the Ryzen 9000 series exactly the as the Ryzen 7000 CPU's and the motherboard SOC of the 800 series exactly the same as the 600 series (Promontory21 or Prom21 in short).
What did you expect then? :)
Personally I don't really think there is any hard pressure to choose the 800 series...
For the record: the 2CCD solutions historically have had the upper hand in boost clock:
7950X: 5750Mhz
7700X: 5550Mhz
7700: 5350Mhz
7800X3D: 5050Mhz
Not to mention the AMD firstly let the Zen4 to boost even more with the base 100Mhz clock tuning. This door was closed after the AGESA 1.0.0.3...
After several own testing I find with CO-10 all core the 115W PPT limit the "sweet spot" for me.
Pre-delid even the CB23 stress test won't bring the CPU above 85°C and gaming mainly remain below 80°C with ~850 RPM CPU cooler (the RTX 4080 become the main noise provider here).
The 7600X, 7700X and the 2 CCD CPU's (79x0 series) have quite a like a hell-hole.
Yea, I know this is normal and the CPU wont burn down at 95°C, but it's needed a good air cooler none the less.
My 7700X with NH-D15 stock settings at full RPM (yea, even a noctua loud at ~1500 RPM) almost reach...
A guy who doing delid for Intel CPU's mostly gave me an opportunity to check it, because most 7800X3D which delided won't show too much improvement.
I say why not, I won't expect too much, if 5-7°C thermal drops happens that's not a bad thing.
Actually the delid won't help but worsen my temps...
