thanks for the fast responses guys, I am running 4 x 1gig sticks I have tried it with just 2 gig in and the same result. Power supply is fairly new and hasnt shown any signs of any problems it still powers my x1950xt fine for gaming its just suffering the damn bottleneck from my processor again...

Thats a good question was wondering this myself :laugh: The only way I can think of is to go to the board manufacturers website, download the bios version that you are running and send that. Other than that I am interested in finding out how to send a bios to :)

Its a great board allowed me to get my e6300 to 3.6ghz but I just run it at 3.2ghz under normal use. It does 3.2ghz on stock voltage so its cool to :)

GA-965P-DS3 is a great board from Gigabyte. Its a brilliant overclocker for the core duos :)

Yep can't complain about the mobo or cpu I think its ram that is the limiting factor now just how far can i push it Just tried to push it further but it wouldn't boot, I think its just the ram, if I can get a ram upgrade I am sure I will be able to get bigger results.

I got to 515 I am gonna try for 520 later tonight though:) I don't know how I have done it especially using pc2 5300 ram if I had pc2 8000 I would easily get it higher.

The 9500 is a great cooler, thats the one I am cooling my overclocked core duo with but if you have the extra cash knocking around (its not much more) then the 9700 is the king of the Zalman coolers.

I can easily believe that as my core 2 e6300 bottlenecked my x1950xt really bad at stock speeds right up until I overclocked over 3ghz the bottleneck was really obvious giving me framerates as low as 24 in bf2. No with the same cpu overclocked at 3.2ghz under the same conditions I rarely drop...
