AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2990WX Cinebench Numbers Out

What people don't get is that this CPU is performance limited by TDP and by memory channel. Simply put, if all dies could gol full speed at 110W TDP (same as 2700X) and evey die had full acess to its two memory channel (wich is not the case, only 4 channels are availible fot the entire chip) the...

AMD Ryzen Threadripper TDP and Cache Sizes Confirmed

Nope, the infinity fabric is the main aspect of the arquitecuture that alowed AMD to do everthing they did with the Zen. It is even more important than the IPC and eficinncy increases, only because these were only possible due to the Infinity Fabric.

AMD Ryzen Reviews and Shipping Coming on February 28th

If they did that, people would start complaining, saying they never launch it.

AMD's Ryzen Chips 10% Smaller Than Comparable Intel Skylake Dies

One may think that die size is not relevant, but in the end it is all that matters, as it translates to price, power, performance, competitiveness, profitability.

AMD's Ryzen Chips 10% Smaller Than Comparable Intel Skylake Dies

They are not comparing the entire die (as its not possible since intel has many different cpus dies), but the cores itself (actually a set of four cores and the caches only).

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8 GB

Yes, the Fury and Fury X are doing way better then they used to. And again, If it weren't because of Anno 2205 and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, the final performance summary would have shown a much bigger gap, compared to Nvidia's competitors.

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8 GB

The problems are: first you forgot to overclock the Fury X, second you also forgot to use the latest Crimson drivers(which my points are based on).

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8 GB

Absolutely, both the 980 Ti and the Fury X are running stock clocks. But the gap is very big, and I guess even if you overclock both VGAs, the 980 Ti won't surpass the Fury X. Even though the Fury X overclocks just around 125 MHz. But it was actually to be expected, as AMD cards tend to continue...

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP! Extreme 8 GB

How come the 980 Ti is so much behind the Fury X? If it wasn't because of Anno 2205 and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate to mislead the final performance summary, the gap between the two would be much larger, cause in every other game the Fury X beats the crap out of the 980 Ti. I still remember...

AMD Takes Embedded Applications to the Next Level With New GPUs

That's because you're misinterpreting the term "embedded". By the way, it's nice to see the fully enabled 5.8 TF Polaris 10 at 95W.

Feast Your Eyes on These Official AMD Radeon RX 480 Renders

Thats one beautiful card! For $199 no doubt I'll be getting at least one. Maybe two, since for $400 it will for sure blow the GTX1070 away.

Ashes of the Singularity DirectX 12 Mixed GPU Performance

Fury X beating the hell out of the 980 Ti. It seems like this is the direction that the latest games are taking: http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/the_division_beta_performance_review/8 http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/hitman_beta_performance_review/8
