This one has the same VRM as B450 Tomahawk. And it is better than both Asus and Gigabyte ones that you mentioned. And it`s usually cheaper than Tomahawk. It is a way to go in my opinion.
Ryzen CPUs do not cover all use cases (high refresh rate, low latency gaming), but I can`t argue that cross generational compatability is a great feature. Zen 2 is also a good "plug n play". Turn on XMP, PBO and you are good to go. But intel is currently the only option for the highest frame...
B550 is basically the same thing, as intel does with unnecessary socket change. 1151v1 motherboards work well with Coffee Lake if you mod them a bit. And B550 is just a B450 that is allowed to use CPU`s PCI-E 4.0 lanes. I`m running the first bios that supports Zen 2 CPUs and my MSI B450i Gaming...
Most people have good enough PSUs to handle them. Efficiency is not a big deal.
Waiting is not possible for some people. They want to build here and now. When ryzen 4000 will be on the market and gaming benchmarks will be out, then the discussion will have any sense. But now we can`t say for...
I have coil whine in main menus or during loading screens, when FPS is really high. It`s not loud nor distracting though. My PSU is Be Quiet System Power 9 600w.
You don`t really need it. You can download MorePowerTool and remove all the limitations for better overclocking. The end result will be pretty much the same.
Tip for next time - do not install beta/optional versions. Recommended (WHQL) is a way to go. I experienced a lot of troubles with optional versions with my 5700xt, but 20.2.2 WHQL is running perfectly. You should uninstall your current version with DDU and install the latest WHQL.
You can return the gpu and get another one. If it won`t help, you should think about replacing your PSU. Corsair ones are poorer quality compared to others in this price point. https://www.overclock.net/forum/31-power-supplies/1455892-why-you-might-not-want-buy-corsair-rm-psu.html
Oh, thank you.
I don`t know what benchmarks you saw to make such a statement. It may be real if 8700k is stock or the ram is not that great. FC5 is really sensitive to single thread perfomance and memory subsystem. Maybe the tested scene was more GPU bound. Idk, but I know that my 5700xt can...
