I used to have a Q9650@3.8ghz rig paired with a GTX 760 4Gb, it was pretty well balanced! Anything in that range, like a radeon 7870 or R7260x, or team green GTX 750ti or maybe a GTX 960...

I installed it yesterday, although I can play all games maxed out in quality now @1080p, I do get a few stutters, the most noticeable games to suffer from my cpu bottleneck are FC5 and FC:new Dawn... GPU at 60% to 80% usage...great card great upgrade, will be preparing my wallet now for a Ryzen...

I just ordered a Gigabyte RTX 2060 Windforce OC, to replace my once mighty GTX 970. Will my CPU bottleneck it? I have a vanilla i7 2600, slightly OC´ed to 4C@4.1, 16gb DDR3 1600 Cas9. I play all AAA games, like COD, BFV, AC/Odyssey, ShadowTR, etc..

It is connected, but I only use it when needed. Its actually a very good machine for XP(Pentium E5800, 2GB DDR400 dual channel, HD 1TB WD Black, Radeon HD3850 AGP, Asus P5PE-VM mobo...)Connected to a Pioneer receiver... I run every game from 2001 thru 2010 really well...

My listening rig still rocks Windows XP Sp3 and a Creative X-Fi Xtreme Music! PCI dedicated hardware accelerated EAX card. Never had a problem with it...

I forgot to mention de G450 on the PCI slot, had to find out the hard way that there is no Win98 driver for the HD3850. Anyway the G450 PCI does its job well running older games pre 2002...

I have the Radeon HD 3850 AGP connected via DVI on my LCD 17" and a Matrox G450 32mb PCI on the vga RGB analog, when I boot into windows98 se I use the G450, in XP I use de Hd3850...
