AMD's RDNA 4 GPUs Could Stick with 18 Gbps GDDR6 Memory

AMD gpus performance is not bad. Actually it is great. The package is bad. Intel made FSR look like a joke in their first attempt. I would sacrifice the performance crown for a better package overall. It took years to change the mindset from Intel Core to AMD Ryzen but it did happen. That’s why...

Is It The 1080 TI The Best GPU Ever?

1080Ti, 2080Ti were one of a kind for different reasons. The first was ridiculously fast and came with 11GB VRAM at good price. The second was not that fast in general and it was expensive but it came with11GB VRAM and DLSS (and RT), making it a viable option even 6 years later. The 3080 was...

Is It The 1080 TI The Best GPU Ever?

Titan RTX is not a souped 2080Ti. It had quadro optimisations making it faster than a 3090 at specific software.

NVIDIA "Blackwell" GeForce RTX to Feature Same 5nm-based TSMC 4N Foundry Node as GB100 AI GPU

I don’t think nVidia release a beastly 5090 when AMD can’t even match the 4090. A cut down GB202, 20-25% faster than 4090 and they call it a day. See you in 2027 again.

AMD to Support AM5 Platform with New Products Till 2025 and Beyond

Well, although the 5800X3D is decent, not for 5 years as was written above, the 7800X3D is miles ahead in cpu limited conditions. If the 9800X3D is that faster than the 7800X3D, I don’t think we see a 10000 series on AM5. AMD will kill AM5 and introduce AM6 and 10KX3D regardless the memory...

    RTX 4090?

The 4080 if not even close to being the flagship. When you have super, Ti, x90, x90Ti and Titan above it. Not all at once but at least 2-3 SKUs higher than the x80. The 4090 is not an overpriced premium model like the 3090 or the Titans. For gaming at least. (the 3090 and some of the Titans...

Could upgrade from ryzen 5700X to 5700X3D or 7600 paired with RX 6800 XT improve 1440p gaming?

Get a 5700/5800X3D and call it a day. The 6800XT is decent gpu and you can keep it easily until Blackwell and RDNA4 are released. Even then, if you decide to upgrade the gpu, the 5800X3D will be more than fine*. *unless you go all in for a 5090.

    RTX 4090?

With DLSS off, the 4090 is way ahead and can deliver 50-60fps in most scenarios. Obviously I'm talking about the games with heavy RT or PT. For example, the 4090 can deliver 60fps in Control/RT at 4K with no DLSS while the 4080 is at 40s. Day and night difference but there are only a few cases...

Intel Realizes the Only Way to Save x86 is to Democratize it, Reopens x86 IP Licensing

Do the Intel fabs have the capacity to build chips from many clients?! It makes some sense...but I think it's April's 1st thing.

AMD to Support AM5 Platform with New Products Till 2025 and Beyond

Yes I would feel the same. If I had a 1700 or a 2600, I would like to upgrade to 5800X3D or 5950X, depending on the use case. If I couldn't find at the correct price, then I would go one tier lower, meaning 5800X, 5900X and so on. I don't see a point I would ever buying a 5700GT, a 5600X3D...

    RTX 3070 or RTX 3080?

With a good PSU, he won't have any issues using the 3080. The 2080Ti doesn't have any issues in general. With a bad PSU, he can just vsync the gpu and call it a day. I wouldn't overpay for an Ada, sacrificing the performance, so I get low power consumption.

    RTX 3070 or RTX 3080?

I wouldn't go for a 4060Ti 8GB. And the 16GB is too expensive. 3080 (which is on par with a 4070 performancewise) is the obvious choice, if you can't go for a 4070. The worst case scenario would be a 2080Ti. Acceptable performance and 11GB of VRAM. I wouldn't check on anything else. No 4060Tis...

    RTX 3070 or RTX 3080?

Don't even think about getting a 3070. 8GB card in mid 2024? (yes it would be ok for the 1080p and CS2 but in general no. Just stay away.) A used 3080 would do or if you can spend some more and get a 4070/Super.

AMD to Support AM5 Platform with New Products Till 2025 and Beyond

AMD may be releasing AM4 CPUs now but they are quite irrelevant. I don't think anyone was waiting all these years with an AM4 system, the release of the 5600GT or even the 5700X3D. All these releases are pointless to me. Reducing the price of the existing lineup, 5800X3D, 5600X-5950X would be...

AMD Readies X870E Chipset to Launch Alongside First Ryzen 9000 "Granite Ridge" CPUs

+1 RAM speed and latency is one of the pillars for high end gaming. No matter if you use Intel or AMD (X3D). Yes, in slow paced games you won't notice a thing but the numbers say the truth. Also the X3Ds can cover the memory latency issues and it's more difficult to notice while gaming...
