    TPU's Nostalgic Hardware Club

For those, who like old video cards benchmarks :) After many years, I finally finished the article (the first part, for now). Also this article is the first to use my improved interactive charts :D Enjoy :) http://hw-museum.cz/article/12/the-ultimate-gpu-benchmark--2000---2002-/1

USB 2.0 ports and power delivery.

It is possible the resistance of the USB connectors increased with age and wear. Also if you are using the front USB, they tend to be connected to the board by very thin wires, so the voltage drops even more. Try the back USB ports, maybe this will do the trick.

    What's your latest tech purchase?

Minor upgrade to my main PC - Corsair RM850i. This is older PSU, but I got it for a nice price, so why not. Now I can also put the whole PC power consumption to my RTSS OSD :D

    What's your latest tech purchase?

One last upgrade for the AM4 platform. My previous B450 board was a bit tight in the pci-e connectivity department... so I decided to get X570. I found Asus Prime X570-P for a good price... and here it is. It seems this board has no resource sharing - all pci-e and M.2 slots and even sata ports...

    CPU Database

Oh, in that case I guess it will be the best if you keep the 3820 as it is. I know there are some quirks about pci-e 3.0 on SB-E, especially older steppings on the 6+ cores but I assumed the quad-core die never had problems like these as it was released later. I don't have 3820 at hand, so I...

    CPU Database

Ah, I see. Well, when you have more free time, I am looking forward for the fixes on the older CPUs. Just a few tips - Xeon E5-1620 / 1650 / 1660 all have unlocked multiplier. Also all of them have 40 pci-e lanes. In short - they are exactly the same as Core i7 3820/3930K/3960X. Speaking of...

    CPU Database

I see there is not much happening here in terms of fixing the mistakes in the database or adding the new CPUs. So if interested, I offer some help with this project. I have quite a good knowledge about x86 CPUs, especially the older ones. And I also have extensive collection of processors - so...

Some of the Xeon E5 v3 CPUs have incorrect die size and transistor count. There are 3 types of Haswell -EP: up to 8 cores / 20 MB L3 cache -> 356 mm^2 and 2600 million transistors up to 12 cores / 30 MB L3 cache -> 492 mm^2 and 3840 million transistors up to 18 cores / 45 MB L3 cache -> 662...
