If you dont mind me asking. Just trying to learn. Whats your thought process behind using 1750 timings instead of the 1625 timings?
Just a stability thing?
I bumped it up 185 max power limit and 175 tdp. Also applied the 1625 memory timings to 2000mhz straps and the ones between.
Tried all UberMix timings and all of them caused visual artifacts or a black screen on reboot. Even the lightest one.
Really not seeing any improvement in peformance...
I'm checking my bios right now with Red Bios Editor. I just realized my Max Power Limit is set to 155W and my TDP is set to 145W via the bios. Looking at my HWINFO shows that with my current clock settings my Core Power has been reaching 151W and my Chip Power has been reaching 158W while under...
Thats sounds a little risky.
I was thinking since I still had alot of temp overhead I could try to use up some of that to squeeze some more performance out but may just past since Im npt experienced with bios editing.
When I add anymore volts I get a performance dip. FPS drops, benchmark score drops.
Even when I leave the core clock at 1440mhz and only add 10 more mV theres an immediate drop in FPS and benchmark scores.
Right now I'm at 1110mV which leaves me with 90mV more headroom within the Radeon...
An update :
I ended up buying and applying 0.5mm fujipoly thermal pads to my memory and thermal grizzley kryonaut to the core. I also added 2 new 120mm Noctua fans to my case. 1 intake and 1 exhaust.
After alot of testing via the Heaven benchmark and playing COD Modern Warefare for a couple...
@eidairaman1, I replaced thermal paste yesterday and now my GPU is 10c less while under load. Wasn't able to pick up any thermal pads yet and don't no what a washer mod is so haven't don't that yet. Thanks for your help.
