Ok it wasn't SP3 that did it because it is still doing it and to answer your question before, the sound just stays static at this point. sometimes it stops all together then retarts when it runs again or it runs static until it is running again, varies from game to game

yeah... it happens with pretty much every game I play... fullscreen, emulators, even some pretty old ones. I will try removing SP3 and going back to SP2 and see if that works.
