    yes I also remember overclocking bartons by closing the cpu bridge. clockholes and strange fsb behavior. Today overclocking is not easier everytime but far more stable.

    I have an asrock z370m running on bclk 150 with i5 8600k cpu and rtx 4080. FCLK 800 is stable by setting bootmode from max performance to battery mode. For FCLK 1GHz I had to raise pch voltage from 1.1 to 1.15v. I also replaced the pads of the mainboard heatsinks with good ones to keep...
