Hi, Well it's happened twice now from what i've noticed. My gfx card temp idles at roughly 47, while in game it reaches 65-70+ as usual. My problem is after playing the temp comes back down to the idle temp after about 3-5 min usually. Well in these two particular instances the temp has stayed...

afaik they do run quite hot anyway 9800Pros, so overclocking to XT too i think that temps around correct.

If you've fitted an Artic cooler or reseated your cooler, you might wanna check it and re-seat and make sure it's screwed in properly.

I know quite a few people who have sucessfully flashed an non VIVO Pro to an XT/XT PE unlocking the extra 4 pipes, which improved benchmarks significantly, that's why it's worth trying, and there is no RISK, if his card is capable of those speeds before flashing anyway.

If it can Do the clock speeds fine, theres no harm in flashing to see if it unlocks extra pipes, after all if it does or doesn't you can flash striaght back anyway.

Firstly check on ATITOOL, see if you actually already have 16 active pipes, if not, then yes you could flash to an XT/XT PE BIOS to get these extra pipes, aslong as your card can do the clocks of an XT/XT PE. I can get mine to XT PE with no troubles on stock cooling so cooling shouldn't be a...

Yeah, I've read that :P Is there smthing you can enable to allow it to monitor temps or would it do it auto.. because its a lot of hassle removing arctic cooler.. just to check see if you have a chip.

Hi on my ATI TOOL I don't have the option to monitor temps and I've just flashed to XT BIOS. Does this mean my card doesn't contain the temp sensor chip?
