My MAX video mem usage is around 850MB in Metro 2033 game. is it normal or it can go and reach 1000MB? and why so much video mem usage? Is Video memory used for things like lighting, shadows and other effects apart from textures?

what could be the issue though? from motherboard? it should be either the motherboard or PSU.

Xaser04: for Metro 2033, in a level that i played, it was up to 843mb. is it high? what makes it so high? the textures dont even look that good. and GPU usage was 99%. u think adding 1gb or 2 RAM, would it make a big difference in performance ???

my max video memory usage in Just Cause 2 benchmark is 421mb. is it high? what is an ideal CPU for my card then? i7?

I also tried 8xAA with 16AF from 4xAA and i lost only 2 or 3 fps. down from 28fps to like 25 or 26fps. all settings on and very high, without Vsync, at 1600*1200 res, using the most demanding benchmark which is called Concrete Jungle. somewhere on the net i read that the GTX 4xxx series really...

So what have you learnt from the Metro 2033 game? I have learnt that even the apocalypse didnt stop us from killing one another over ideology. as Atyom himself says in the game. :]
