I will still try! I love this machine and it helped me during the rough times. Even at this point I can play Cyberpunk without much issues, the biggest upgrade yet was probably the 4980HQ mutant CPU. I also have to find a 2230 NVME SSD with out breaking the bank.

I have a very overkill 330W PSU and my heatsink is modified already to accommodate higher TDP GPUs, I also wouldn't run 4060 at full 110W, nah, it will not do any good for that old battery too. I have tried countless VBIOSes, even ones from RTX 2000 Ada Lovelace, but that didn't change...

I have Quadro T1000 installed in it so NO, it is not restricted. 4060 probably has some kind of software conflict (my bet is that it is either BIOS or EC)

Hi guys, I have received an RTX 4060 MXM-A from X-VSION and it doesn't want to run on my Dell Precision M4800 and I suspect that VBIOS could be an issue. Would someone here have a VBIOS for a similar 4060 MXM-A? Or maybe even a Quadro RTX 2000 VBIOS. Both would be great.

Well, you are right, but machines that rely on that function are kinda screwed until any fix is provided, like my laptop with MXM GPU that has a weird DevID (PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1FF9&SUBSYS_15CC1028)

This is a god's work, it will be very helpful with GPUs like mine (ADLINK Quadro T1000 GDDR6 MXM-A).

You could try lordkag's gopupd, it is basically patching a VBIOS, allowing you to add signature back, as if there was no alteration.
