Watercooling Gone Wild: Overly Expensive Noob Edition

Ah I missed the pump down there, how silly of me. I agree about ZMT being a bit stiff, made me less concerned about any possible kinks.

Watercooling Gone Wild: Overly Expensive Noob Edition

I guess it makes sense if function is preferred over form. I just popped a drain at the bottom of my res with a ball valve but then again, there's a hell of a lot of space in a 900D. I did go with ZMT tubing myself this time around, how are you liking it? It feels and looks like it will outlive me.

Watercooling Gone Wild: Overly Expensive Noob Edition

Is there any particular reason you used EK-QDC instead of just running longer pipes? I don't seem to see it mentioned along the thread but I might have missed it.

I'm on the same boat. There's no way I'm dumping money before I see the numbers.

2080ti up for pre order just now!

They've been on Overclockers for a couple of hours. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/pc-components/graphics-cards/nvidia/geforce-rtx-2080ti Newegg has sold out most of their Ti pre-orders it seems.

Need help building a machine for H.264 encoding

I didn't SLI for my test, I've ran 3 crossfire setups during the last 7 years so I'm quite familiar with the setups. The 1060 was run independently from the 1080 Ti. I could have added any of my AMD gpus but it would have been a bit of driver mess I don't want to go through again. It's not a...

Need help building a machine for H.264 encoding

Because I built the TR machine for my editing workflows and buying a new CPU would mean new RAM and a new board which would end up being just as expensive. OBS always uses GPU power for compositing and plugging a second card makes it worse. This is mentioned in the OBS forums. Not only that, I...

Need help building a machine for H.264 encoding

The Stream Deck is so amazing that I ordered as second one, and that's for a single PC setup. I use them for everything and they're massive productivity boosters. But as I said, it's not an issue with the CPU, it's been a pleasure to work with and has lots of headroom still there. With games...

Need help building a machine for H.264 encoding

Hey everyone, a few days ago I had an idea for a build for H.264 encoding, mainly for streaming but possibly used for other things as well considering the hardware. I will outline the build and what I'm looking for further below. I'll try to keep it as short as possible. The current setup is...

RTX 2080 Ti Specs Revealed! Expect Low Core Clocks

The last Palit I've tried was a 1060 6GB StormX...we thought it would be fine in the build it went into but eh. I know they have some good chips in, at least around the 1060/1070 range they had very high clocking chips. But a 1060 heating up is quite a task since I had an INNO3D 1060 6GB which...

RTX 2080 Ti Specs Revealed! Expect Low Core Clocks

I shouldn't bad mouth because I have a supplier which hands me over some Palit stuff but damn it's not only an aesthetic problem, the shrouds are very flimsy and their cooling solutions leave much to be desired, at least at the mid range. You'd expect at least a bit of effort at the higher end...

    Internet browsers

Chrome is my main on all devices however I do keep different browsers installed for different things. Firefox can be useful to me, Opera handles all my internal applications which I have to IP to such as FreeNAS plugins, routers and so on and Vivaldi I use quite a lot at work.

What SSD under 100 dollars 512GB 2.5in for notebook pc

When it comes to TLC I think at least we still have a choice to go with something like SLC/MLC, at least for now. Then again I still don't rely on SSDs to store my data, merely stuff I need to operate from. I like the good old traditional spinning disk and an offsite backup for my precious data...

Old headphones broke, looking for new ones.

I moved from a pair of ATH-M50X with replaced earpads to the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro (the 250 Ohm version) just over a month ago and am absolutely loving it. Sometimes can be found cheap, €112 on Amazon.de right now. There's the premium version which to my understanding is just a different...

What SSD under 100 dollars 512GB 2.5in for notebook pc

I have a few of the 120GB versions of these in laptops and I don't think I've ever seen cheaper. https://www.amazon.com/Silicon-Power-Performance-Internal-SP512GBSS3A55S25/dp/B07997QV4Z/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1534503873&sr=8-3&keywords=silicon+power I doubt with regular use you'll get anywhere...
