    Dropped HDD on the floor.

Yeah, we"ll see I guess. So far so good. No errors, bad sectors or anything out of ordinary. Hard to make a backup with 2TB worth of data though.

    Dropped HDD on the floor.

FML I am currently using internal Seagate Barracuda 2TB 2.5 inch as my external HDD as I have all of my data on it. I have it connected to my laptop via USB since my main laptop is atm broken ergo the reason for this setup. As I was walking upstairs I dropped the disk on the floor. The floor is...

Unexplained loss of power (Laptop stops using cable, works fine on battery)

I dont have another charger. These things output 230W so only original one will do and they are about 120€. So unless I'm 100 sure its adapter, I do not want to waste so much money.

CPU never goes below base clock (2.4 Ghz) when in idle [SOLVED]

I thought I'm "pro user" but apparently I'm a little more educated then Word expert. I feel so dumb right now. Thank you so much though. This has been pestering me for too long and I had no clue whats going on. Ugh Windows 10 and its fancy battery settings.

CPU never goes below base clock (2.4 Ghz) when in idle [SOLVED]

I feel so stupid right now. This actually did it.... Thank you so much. I'm guessing this subsequently also made the C0 states higher correct? So when I want to use CPU and to make sure its properly clocked, do I have to constantly switch between the sliders to have it properly clocked? Or...

Unexplained loss of power (Laptop stops using cable, works fine on battery)

DRDNA said: Yes I believe that all issues with this one laptop should be in one thread. I believe your lack of down clocking the cpu is because the motherboard chip set driver is not installed....the issues with your charging stopping on its own and then running of battery is probably a...

Unexplained loss of power (Laptop stops using cable, works fine on battery)

I'm going mad. The story goes like this. I have a laptop now 4 years old. G750JZ model. Since the first day of purchase I have changed the motherboard, bought new power adapter and new power jack board ( the port where you charge your laptop) and they are all relatively new. Now the problem...

I reinstalled Windows Fresh on my drive that was formatted previously. It was 100% clean slate. Mine looks the same?

CPU never goes below base clock (2.4 Ghz) when in idle [SOLVED]

When I used 4700HQ before (Same laptop, but I switched motherboards which also switched the CPU's since they're soldered on) it used to downclock just fine. I doubt they made something completely else for the processor later. It was already set to 0. So looking at the photos which were done...
