Upgraded from 4870 to 5870, disappointed.

That game is highly CPU intensive as well, so your 5870 is prolly free wheeling while your CPU is bottle necked.

Hourly rate for general computer repair?

the "professional" rate my friend charges is 80$ an hour plus travel, then again he is a fully certified technician with a great deal of demand for his services. imo, anywhere between 10-25 an hour (on site) with an additional 5-10$ gas expense (25-35 cents per mile or a flat rate...) would be...

Call Of Duty : Black Ops (official thread)

Unless your getting over 60 fps in games, having a monitor over 60hz is pointless from a gaming perspective. I got my viewsonic because my eyesight is bothered by a low 60hz refresh w/o back lighting.

Call Of Duty : Black Ops (official thread)

Age old requirements joke. When what was really required was better programming, they ended up fostering off onto the consumer as a need for better hardware. lol Contrast ratio means absolutely nothing, there is no industry standard. So your company tacked on some zero's. Viewsonic's...

Hurrah. New EAH5850 arrived today, full burn on furmark stability test was fully stable and never passed 69c somewhat funny : i also removed the rest of the PCI port grilling and stuck a 92mm 3 speed variable fan over em. Now to finish modding myself a 2x 5.25 enclosure for 2x 60mm fans...

    (Big) Issue with a EAH5850

I've never RMA'd with newegg before, should I worry about having a witness (say an employee at the UPS store 2 blocks from my place) on the contents (that its all there)? *wills the 9500 GT I purchased from Bill to arrive faster so I can at least commence moving files from old to new machine*...
