EVGA Announces the NU Audio Pro 7.1 Sound Cards

Board architecture, layout, and construction techniques are more refined on the EVGA. Adding to that is the capacitors are far from the only component that impacts sound positively. I was unable to find a shot of the Nu Audio Pro boards. Looking at the older model and Sound Blaster Audigy Rx...

    Carbide 100R Silent

To me the question is one of tradeoffs. Lifespan and expectation of recouping investment (honestly) factor heavily. SFF do not have to run hot but certainly can go full passive under extended heavy load. Higher temps always mean reduction of lifespan until you reach industrial solutions...

Previous post in here with CPUZ 1.87 produced a single core number within easy tolerance of what I'm still seeing. Multicore... 91 points better. Which is to say I figured out how to maximize this bench score on my PC and could probably get that up to a round 100 with repeated attempts. o_O

    Hypochondriac or is it real

@rtwjunkie That really helped this already resolved issue. I was especially appreciative of your effort to quote me so the strafing comments with no real good reply to them being possible got noticed.

    Hypochondriac or is it real

I've been hunting for two days now. Reseated the cooler, physically pored over the board for damage, uninstalled/reinstalled a chunk of programs, opened the BIOS and didn't see anything awry, etc. and so on. Tonight I looked at every option in the BIOS and found something that inexplicably got...

In the US we don't typically refer to anything but certain technical measurement using the metric system. My apologies if this caused you undue strain.

This went off the rails from word one. Temps do not spike in a cold room with a likely even colder floor. I can only ascribe said spike to one easily placed event. Which was not a well documented on TPU experiment with higher ambient temps and performance. I'm quite doubtful TIM or the...

    Hypochondriac or is it real

I ran the benchmark not the stress test. More accurately, I ran the benchmark without including the Open CL portion. So at most it took 4 minutes to complete. I did not time it.

It may not report accurately but it sure maintained the second ideal condition of reporting consistently. Using Hwinfo or CoreTemp. TIM is 3-4 months old and does not see heavy and lengthy periods of high temps. This is a fairly simple equation of used X program and Y problem occurred.

Thank you @hat . Load temps follow the same pattern of being approximately 10C higher. Computer was stable and showed no signs of malware, viruses, or otherwise prior to running the benchmark. With the benchmark open, before running, temps were 26C in a 50F room.

How is reporting the existence, causation, and effects of a problem lacking in clarity. Computer ran fine. Computer ran ROG Realbench. Computer displays issues. No other change. No other discernible reason for existence of problem.

    Hypochondriac or is it real

I'd appreciate ideas what could possibly have gone wrong or be the cause here. In a 90 F room it ran at 28C. Same fan settings, same everything. I'm lost as to what could have happened here.

I neither live somewhere warm or keep the space my computer is in so. Temps have recently been hovering around 25C during light use. After running ROG realbench it idles at 34C. Now I'm not saying but I'm just saying. Temps never broke above 50C (CPU or VRM) during test. After which I...

New best scores on everything but mt ratio. Fairly sure if I tried a little harder I could get mt score at least a little closer to the nearly 20 point single thread jump I saw. Previous best score in 1.85.0. Followed by an update now that I noticed there is an AVX bench.

    Mid range 2.0/2.1 speaker amps

That is all well and good but a firm recommendation is going to require some idea of what you intend to spend. I will say an USB integrated amp with sub out considerably narrows your options if you should choose to investigate them. You may find a more budget friendly option is a separate DAC...
