Hi, I am 'the friend'. Thanks a bunch for all the responses, I've managed to find a program that runs on the CLI called hwinfo but am unable to run it atm cos that computer is updating, I've tried it on this computer as it is overclocked and it is showing stock speeds. Thanks again for the help.

Agreed, I'm just gutted that the hardware grows old so quickly!!! I mean, i have a macbook that's nearly 2 years old, and apart from reduced battery life, it's still good to go!

I'm just not willing to believe that this game WON'T run on such new hardware, the computer isn't even that old!!!
