EA DICE Confirmed Working on "Battlefield 6," Could Feature Campaign

Battlefields have been on their in-house Frostbite engine since BFBC on PS360. Amazing engine, I think it kinda peaked somewhere between BF4’s “levolution”, networked water and audio, and BF1’s gorgeous lighting. Handle 64 player games very smoothly with lots of vehicles and destruction. Not...

Cyberpunk 2077 Update v2.3 Brings FSR 4, XeSS Frame Generation, VRR for Consoles, and Much More

Looks like a very minor patch after all but always nice to see an update.

AMD Sampling Next-Gen Ryzen Desktop "Medusa Ridge," Sees Incremental IPC Upgrade, New cIOD

Moving to a new TSMC process does allow higher density for higher core count so rumor seems reasonable. My guess is they'll go from 8c to 12c per CCD. That would make for a nice 9800X3D successor, although as we know games won't use much more than 8c. It'll need higher IPC and maybe ever more...

Intel "Nova Lake-S" Tapes Out on TSMC N2 Node

It's a 10 year old deprecated MS OS who would use 2026 hardware on ancient garbage?

Windows 11 Finally Overtakes Windows 10 as the Most Dominant Operating System

No issues at all with latest Win11 on my gaming PC. It runs great. Silky smooth animations on high refresh too.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SUPER Planned with 24 GB of GDDR7 Memory

What's the point of this nothing is going to use it. Wake me up when they increase the 8 and 12 GB cards. 18GB 5070 class will be decent.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8 GB

Well it runs plenty of games (Doom, Elden Ring, etc. ) above 60fps, so it's certainly not a useless GPU at 125W TDP. For older/low spec/eSports type games like CS2, Valorent, SC2, etc. it's fine too. But would I would strongly recommend people avoid and save up a bit for a better one.

Nintendo Switch 2 Overheats Playing Demanding AAA Games

Doesn't need that crap, it just needs TSMC 3N. Just look at the huge perf/watt jump Nvidia had going from RTX 30 series to 40 series (Samsung 8N to TSMC 5N). While Nintendo is at it put on an proper OLED display, the LCD it ships with is appalling. Since we're on the subject, just get a Steam...

NVIDIA's v580 Driver Branch Ends Support for Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta GPUs

Makes sense they are dropping support. Guess it’ll also reduce file sizes again. Drivers are like 900MB. They did a drastic cut a couple years ago by switching compression iirc but now it’s bigger than ever. More likely though the team also identified being spread too thin as a reason for the...

    What would you buy?

I would hold and wait for an RTX 6070 with 192-bit/18GB or 256-bit/16GB (either is fine) having the performance of the 5070 Ti but with the lower TDP/heat of the 5070 due to moving to TSMC 3N.

Windows 12 Delayed as Microsoft Prepares Windows 11 25H2 Update

Why? Other popular OSes update more often. Win11 is finally in great shape, I would say next year would be a good time to push out Win12. Just look at what macOS does or the more successful Linux distros, they have overhauls seemingly more often. Imo that blured out Win12 pic actually looks...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER Possible Specs Emerge: 24 Gbit Memory Takes Centerstage

18GB is great for 5070S, even though it remains at 192-bit bus it solves the VRAM issue for a while. Problem now is power, it just keeps going up. 4070 used 200W now up to 275W at same tier. Nvidia desperately needs TSMC 3N.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti SUPER Planned with 24 GB of GDDR7 Memory

Waste of money, just make a 5070 Super have 16GB (256-bit bus) or 18GB (if 3GB module rumor works out).

NVIDIA DLSS Transformer Cuts VRAM Usage by 20%

Very good DLSS4 transformer model is fantastic, but skipping RTX 50 series it's a joke. Hopefully RTX 60 series has TSMC 3N or better, and 16GB VRAM at minimum for the 6070 tier so it's actually an upgrade not just a TDP increase.

LG Display Begins Mass Production of Ultimate Gaming OLED Panel with 4th-Generation OLED Technology

Those don’t sound like monitors they sound like TVs to me. Hard pass. 27” is as big as I’d go for a desktop monitor, would even prefer 25” if they still made it. 1440p 240Hz with this new OLED tech and decent built-in speakers for when I’m not using headphones (like my BenQ EX2710Q has) and I’ll...
