Have you tried using 1.1.1.3 as the primary, and 1.0.0.3 as the secondary or are you using 1.1.1.2 and 1.1.1.3 as primary/secondary?

well you are probably fine then... the code won't change the dns abilities have you checked the browser config to ensure it's not using some kind of DNS over HTTPS config that's bypassing the dns settings on the network adaptor?

did you install their version of Windows, or did you download the installer from Microsoft itself? Also - I've had DNS issues with Windows before, the machine was set to 8.8.8.8 (google dns) but the ISP-provided router was intercepting all DNS traffic and re-routing it to their own nameservers

o_O because the form factor was designed for drives that contained 2.5" spinning disks... it became a standard size so they kept the same external dimensions when moving to SSDs

Since a slot is pretty much standard you can buy generic ones that'll do the job... they may not match the design of your current ones, unless you replace all of them :)

I only suggested it because I had checked the mobo manual before answering... knowing that my mobo does something similar with the M.2 slots If the slot is running at gen 4 then it would probably be affected the same, the mobo info doesn't specifically call out that this only affects gen 5...

Do you have an NVMe drive in the M2_1 slot as that drops that to x8 PCIe

You mentioned a new mobo... when you installed it did you reconnect all the case fans, that may be a possible cause? Also, the settings in the BIOS that control the fan curves are different to your older board, so they are not ramping up as much, or as early, as they previously did?

I'm patiently waiting for Thursday to see what I'm going to upgrade my Rift CV1 to... would be happy with Quest 2 but want to see what (if anything) is going to be announced before making the final decision.

When I was in the BIOS I enabled PTT as well as Secure Boot to get all those green ticks in the WhyNotWin11 app... can't remember if I changed any other PTT/TPM related settings though
