Glad to see it back, I saved a copy of the installer back when they were going offline and have still been using it. :)

I did, it's lived in filtered cases all its life, however it was in use until just this last fall in my wife's system. Guess it wasn't getting dusted out as much as it should have been. :laugh: All put back together and ready to go in my backup system once I get a mobo.

Here's what I have spare. 2x WD 500GB Blues 1x Seagate 500GB 7200 RPM 2x Seagate 1TB 7200 RPM (Spoken for by Toothless.)

Anyone in need of some hard drives? I have quite a few spares sitting around. I'm looking for a motherboard that can drive my 3rd system. (AMD FX-8350)

This thread inspired me to take apart my old ASUS HD5850. All cleaned up. There was a full blown floof ball in the heatsink too. The TIM on the chip was hard. :laugh:

Yeah, mine seems to be doing the same. Not sure why.

Got the main system running with a FX-9590 now. Just need another AM3 mobo and I'll have my backup cruncher running with my old FX-8350. :D

A dying HDD or SSD could cause these symptoms. If you can boot into the OS I'd try CrystalDiskInfo and see what it says.

I got everything I can crunching away. I hope to have another system built soon.

I'm interested in the mobo and CPU. Are they still available?

Sneaking back into crunching again. Been a while. Changed my line of work and had to take a break from some of my hobbies for a while.
