This Classy won't go anywhere anytime soon. I am pretty sure that it is working though but I lack the tools to replace the DVI ports atm. The PCB has sustained heavy damage in that area too! The PCI-E power socket was removed easily. I'll see how this will pan out but my gut feelings says that...

Hello, World! :D - Robert B's PC builds - oogle away freely :) - OLD Hardware Emporium

I have a couple of PC cases which were quite white. I stored them for about a year in a drawer and when I got them out guess what. They were so yellow I just could believe it. I didn't Retrobright them. This gave me food for thought and made me think twice about doing any Retrobtighting to a...

Hello, World! :D - Robert B's PC builds - oogle away freely :) - OLD Hardware Emporium

In regard to Retrobright I just did it on small stuff with cream peroxide products but as lex pointed out for big parts with intricate designs immersion in liquid on a bright summer sunny day is way better. I do not use UV lamps or other means except sunlight. With cream type products I got...

Thanks @Mussels :D Just another day at "the office". :D I saw that type of discoloration on some other cards. I have no idea what might cause it but I used a little polishing paste and a rag and it went away in seconds.

THE BLOODY GPU aka ASUS GTX 680 DirectCU II OC - GTX680-DC2O-2GD5 We all know that dumpster diving IS a dangerous activity that may have as a result anything from a bruised ego to physical harm. :D Over the years I had my share of special computer parts that required my attention. I mean...

Technology has its limits. Sometimes you get to drive some sleek cars sometimes you drive muscle cars. Evolution is not something that can be taken for granted. Anyway I would love to be able to own a 4090 Ti air cooled QUAD slot card no matter what others would say. :D Why? Well, just kicks or...

Hello, World! :D - Robert B's PC builds - oogle away freely :) - OLD Hardware Emporium

Nope. Control to Int 19 Boot loader or no POST. Probably dead chipset or a short somewhere. For now it is considered dead but who knows? Maybe I'll fix it one day. :) I removed both the BIOS chips and they were read perfectly in my programmer. The BIOS files were an exact match to those on...
