I have only one other computer available and I can't risk both PCs going down, I don't think that is an option.

Tried Ultra 500w PSU, no improvement. Turns on, no post, no anything. Two diagnostic lights are off, signaling CPU/chipset error. Four phase lights are all lit. How is AMD with replacements/RMA procedure?

Also, memtest on one stick ran for two hours and passed, something that never occurs in windows.

Actually I am running a 64 bit copy of Win 7, but the issue was with 32 bit XP and even during the installation of Windows. Hmm...

Removing one stick of memory did not yield any difference. I used HotCPU and during the first 40% of the first CPU stress test (about 15 min) the system died then restarted. BIOS is at stock. I'll download the software listed here and determine the temperature.

It is not new. The Kenwood is from the 60's, and the fishers from the 80's. The whole thing cost less than 20 dollars.

I don't game with them. I don't game at all anymore. That is also only a temporary place for them.

Ket man, the bass can't be muddy. A picked bass must sound picked and not just mushed. Metal is supposed to sound tight and not loose/boomy. The bass must be clear. Pic of my equipment coming. I think some of you might be surprised.

There's always avast, then there is one not too many have heard of. I don't care how many people have or have not heard of it, though. It got rid of my virtumonde when everything else failed, and one of the few antiviruses that can get rid of that bugger. Good stuff. Malwarebyte's antimalware.
