1250mhz Is already an amazing OC on a 680, anything higher would be a golden sample. Generally anything 1220+ is pure luck of the draw due to not being able to increase the voltage. Might need to bump that power target up a bit to stop it from auto down-clocking, mine at 1200mhz uses 115-120%...

What clock is the card running at when you have it hooked up to dual monitors, and is it stock cooling or custom? 40-50 idle is pretty normal, as ATI cards run max memory clocks and higher core when you have a second monitor hooked up, even my ASUS 7970 DCII idled in the 40-50 when it was summer...

Don't forget Crucial, none of that sandforce crap and personally I've never had a single one die, 5 in various machines with near 2 years on the clock. I went through so many Vertex 3's and Agility 3's before I bit the bullet and tried out Crucial for the first time, good times.

Love the card, but it looks like the text on the back plate is upside down, going to look a little odd on the case. Seems Sapphire is the only company this gen making that mistake :(

Glad to hear the problem has been solved, might do that with mine just in case. Actually at launch it was available via Steam (That's when I got it), then it got pulled, now its back on Steam in the form of the Maximum Edition.

Still don't get the point of having the heatpipes on the top of the card, Sapphire usually doesn't and if they do they're concealed by a nice cover, personally I think heatpipes visible on the top like this are an eyesore.

My 7970 with WHQL 12.4 (bit old, but it doesn't seem to list SRTT in any of the future patch notes) runs rather nice, but during large freeway chases in the glaring daytime or flying a VTOL over the city brings it down to the 30-45 range. My 680 on the other hand doesn't dip below 58fps. I loved...

Excellent suggestions all-round in this thread, but I'll add one major factor for myself. Do you like Saints Row the Third? If so, Nvidia is your only options due to either Volition or AMD just not caring about the game anymore, which leads to horrible performance on my HD 7970.
