TPU HWBot Competition - now open

Not sure I agree.. i am seen the heatspreader on some chops way off.. A 4770k I did was so low in the middle the cooler didn't make decent contact at all.. i also delidded it and that made a huge difference. . Can bench 5ghz air all day long :) I might just lap my new 9370.. really depends if...

    About water cooling,

That does sound like a good deal :). Have you tried overcooking at all?

    Is this alright? [i7 4770k @ 4.5Ghz 1.3v 90c during high Intelburntest]

How did you choose 1.3 vcore? Have you tested lower? Some chips need higher, some lower.. i would test.. This would bring temps down. 4770K's run hot.. i lapped and delidded a couple and that helped tremendously. . The best method is trying to reduce voltages as much as you can..

    thermal pads for 7970

I am pretty sure there around 1m stock. You could always measure your existing ones.

Do it just for fun.... everybody loves examples and it gives everybody a score to beat :) I'll post a quick and dirty Intel score in a bit as a good basis :)

    thermal pads for 7970

I usually order from frozencpu or performance-pcs. Not sure If a local generic store has something equivalent.

    About water cooling,

But have you tested a beefy air cooler also? You might be surprised. What you see.. All that means is that the radiator can handle your load up to a certain load wattage. I'm not saying that there all bad.. All I am saying is that there not such better or better at all depending on the...

Also try higher MHz... with higher cas... different amd boards tend to like different mem settings.

    About water cooling,

Those closed loop coolers Are not worth the price compared to a big air cooler.. they idle decent but there's not that much volume of fluid and they really suck When you generate a lot of heat. A custom water setup is so much better, but it also depends on your skills AMD the products you...

That will help quite a bit. Also make sure you use the stilts program for 32m.. I am trying to remember what the voltage setting for that is.. been benching 4770k lately.. i think its nb voltage depending on the board.. Here's a result with an 8350 from a little while ago.. i have a...

Pci express riser cables for GPGPU cooling

The riser cards will effect performance... from experience i am telling you this. You ,might As well remove 2 cards If you want to use the extenders. A haf case with a fan on the side will direct flow directly onto the cards, not too mention that case has airflow all over the place...
