China is really good at theft. I bet the new EUV machine they have developed is 100% (and i mean absolutely 100%) identical to the ASML machine in every single way - the Chinese machine probably even has the same signatures of the Dutch designers on the circuit boards !!!
Did you realize that the 9070xt is a 4080-class card? It will beat the 4080 by 3% in raster and match the 4070ti in raytracing, crushing the 7900xtx.
It costs $101 more to make than the 7800xt. The pricing is VERY aggressive, on that incremental $120 of price AMD earns only $19. Its easy to...
What shocks me is how much people over-emphasize frame generation and up-scaling. Both of these techniques damage image quality. People tend to look at them and say, "Oh this one A has fewer artifacts than B" but they think NOTHING about the fact that interpolating colors or frames increases...
The 9070xt and 7800xt should have about the same die size and process tech (N5) and RAM and so the price in theory could be the same as 7800xt at launch. I.e. $500. The 7900 GRE was discontinued probably because it was AMD's lowest-profit card (its essentially a 7900xt with 4GB less RAM). So...
My first three cooler purchases were Noctua U14S's (for my son's computers). Back in those days 2016- 2020 there was nothing like it! But since that time a range of RGB coolers has become very very competitive and they run very quietly! My most recent purchase was the thermal right phantom...
You have completely botched your research! 6800 is within 5 fps of the 3080 on rasterization on toms hardware gpu hierarchy from 1080p to 4k - the 3070 is about 15% behind ...
6800 @MRSP had the best price/performance of AMD 6000 series - highest fps/watt for AMD, AND the lowest watts/fps...
AMD released the first 1080p iGPU with the 5600g / 5700g (I bought the latter and some superb DDR4-4000 micron RAM). So for the first time you could run almost all 1080p games at low settings and 30-60fps on an iGPU. Is AMD going to challenge themselves to do better? They need a 1440p iGPU...
If you would bother to log into steam and think for yourself, you would not post such foolishness, it's 7:1.
Other - 9.67%
Intel - 7.52%
AMD - 10.81%
NVidia - 72.03%
https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/?sort=pct
And the top 4 NVidia desktop cards (20% of all steam registrations)...
I think your reality has been distorted by the "news-hype" cycle.
It's true that the only high-end cards with reasonable power consumption and size are 3080, 7900xt, 7900xtx, and maybe the 6900xt.
But if you freeze frame rates to 100 fps then a 4080 only uses 170 watts of power, which is...
The 3060Ti is basically a 3070, gimped.
It was my first choice, too.
Realize that if everybody is recommending a 3060Ti, that means it's so popular you will have ZERO chance of getting one!
I went for a 3070Ti (newegg lottery), and won on the first day. It's a widely hated card therefore i won...
If you get random shutdowns, I would suspect the gpu is overheating.
Therefore, you should reseat the cooler, apply new thermal paste, clean the fans, etc.
If the miner did not keep the thermal paste up to date then it could be dried out.
Also check that the fans (case fan, gpu fans) in your...
In my opinion this is not the computer to buy, since you are so terribly limited by
(a) DDR4 Sodimm at 3200 Mhz. Most YouTubers overclock their RAM to 3600 or 4000 at least.
(b) Cannot overclock the GPU, and yet, most can go TWENTY percent faster (2400 or 2450), so this is a FAIL.
(c) Power...
This guy, Raja, almost killed ATI/AMD by foolishly going "all in" on an unproved and hyper expensive HBM2 memory in AMD'S discrete GPUs (Rx Vega 56, 64). AMD lost money on every single sale. AMD returned to using GDDR6 now in rx5700 and rx5700 xt. Rajas GPUs run hot and waste a lot of memory...
I have a feeling that these games are ALREADY over-optimized (i.e. dumbed-down) for NVidia cards with their compressed textures. PCIe 4.0 should allow the system to sideload some amazing, vivid, detailed textures, when AMD gets to 50% marketshare, which is never. In the meantime the 3D...
