Just as an update on my rather poor 9550 256Mb
I contacted Ebuyer who I bought the card from and asked for an RMA as the card was not identical to the one that became faulty. They agreed to refund me, so I am going for a 9600 pro advantage.

Does your BIOS allow you to increase the fsb in small amounts? If so, try going up in small amounts until it gets to a temperature that you can tolerate.
How much heat is too much heat? Is you rHSF good enough to take up to a XP3200+ ?

Glad you are sorted. I knew that if it wasn't going to take 200fsb (I know I kept writing 400, but you know what I mean) it would freeze. My mate tried it with his 2800 and his wouldn't post.
