Thats the problem. The ATI drivers will jump in and say "Oh look a x300 to install!" This is a second video card (primary is a x1800XL) so I cant just remove the drivers, hence the need for something different. I would think that flashrom or atiflash would have some switch to let me do this...

The driver I have uses a custom ID. I need to set that ID on the card.

Just using that as an extreme really. I dont want Windows to know its a x300 really. Like when you first install Windows and it knows its a display adapter but doesnt know which one. I need to be able to feed it a custom driver.

Could anyone who has an AGP x800GTO of any brand (preferably Sapphire) please post the PN at the top of the card as well as what core it has, and if it has modded OK? I have to chose between keeping the Sapphire x800GTO AGP I have or getting a x800GTO2 PCI-E (what I originally ordered)

Indeed it does, except for the molex power connector and the extended PCB. The brown box it came in says x800GTO AGP on it, but whats confusing me is that a) no one sells a x800GTO AGP and b) my packing slip says x800GTO2 AGP
