1080p 60Hz Samsung monitor from 12 years ago. Counter-strike-2 has 400 FPS now. So 340 of FPS are wasted. I will buy 1440p 240Hz later. Or maybe 4k 120 Hz. For whatever RTX 4070 can do.
When data is copied to graphics card, it is mapped from RAM to VRAM. Then it uses RAM banwdith for reads. In the same time, CPU can write to RAM from its cache. Then RAM will require a higher bandwidth to not lag much. High RAM bandwidth helps when doing physics simulations on CPU. Many games do...
I will upgrade from 7900 (2 ccds) to 9800x3d (1 ccd) and overclock RAM from 6000 to whatever its limit, so multithreading performance will stay same but gaming will improve a lot.
If voltage locked, 350Watts wouldn't mean anything. 50% more power for 7% more performance is not good. That power limit bonus requires a golden-chip to be useful. So a lower-voltage chip can go higher currents or higher frequencies.
60-65 Celcius in counter-strike (~400 FPS), 95 Celcius in cinebench, 83Celcius with cpu-z bench, 82Celcius with cpu-z bench avx512. Ambient is about 20Celcius.
