Acer Announces the XB270HU and XG270HU Gaming Monitors

I bought the ROG Swift and compared it to various IPS monitors (@ local Fry's). I felt like you really have to be staring at 4k static images to notice much of a difference...based upon real observations. I realize there are major benefits to wide viewing angles for IPS, but the colors and...

NVIDIA Rolls Out GeForce 344.48 WHQL Game Ready Driver

My DSR profile was still set to 'Off' after installing the driver. I manually enabled every DSR Factor(33% Smoothness) and it works fantastically on my 2x580w3GB and 1200p monitor. GF Experience does show the recommend DSR Factor in the Optimal settings too.

    Game Of Thrones

I like the interior lining material. Very unique aesthetic compared to the trite vinyl and powder coated based builds.

Maxwell to support Adaptivesync (AMD's "Freesync")

Your analogy is spot on and NVIDIA may simply just be trying to differentiate itself from AMD. Their implementation for control over the AdaptiveSynch technology is really in the first rev now, so I will reserve time to see if it continues to develop and get adopted by more display...

Even More GeForce GTX 980 and GM204 Specs Tumble Out

. I mentioned this before and I am not a GPU guru, but the GTX980 64 ROP should benefit 4k+ users. The Titan only has 48.

Even More GeForce GTX 980 and GM204 Specs Tumble Out

Interesting. Looks like CompuBench has already done their performance testing on the GTX980 versus the Titan. At Screen: 3840 x 2160! http://compubench.com/compare.jsp?benchmark=compu20&D1=NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+980&os1=Windows&api1=cl&D2=NVIDIA+GeForce+GTX+TITAN+Black&cols=2

Even More GeForce GTX 980 and GM204 Specs Tumble Out

Maybe, there is no logic needed...It is not like people are lining up outside Best Buy to get a new video card. <--snarky voice Yet. let me use logic. NVIDIA's first global gaming event, game24, starts Thursday, the 18th. I am no marketing expert, but I will bet a 3$ bill they planned the...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 and GTX 970 Pricing Revealed

I am not a GPU expert; but, it appears NVIDIA is addressing that by giving us a GTX 980 card with 64 ROPs. The 780Ti only has 48. That is a huge increase and should benefit 4K since the ROP does the heavy lifting for those final pixels going to the monitor. I think a lot of people are...

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 and GTX 970 Pricing Revealed

Agreed. Since 4K monitors are going down in price, I imagine NVIDIA is addressing/targeting 4K performance with this launch having started the cards with 4GB VRAM. Hopefully the efficiency in power will give GPU manufacturers the ability to sell cards with high factory overclocks. I gave you...
