You could manually remove it. Check task manager for unusual processes. I found panda, avira and Rising anti-virus good for removing virus.

Puppy is good but takes time getting used to. FYI windows xp installs on 2GB. Also if I remember correctly Xubuntu installs too. Does it have memory card reader? You could always install the os on a pen drive and keep the entire 2GB for data.

I don't trust avast much. Post a screen shot of all tasks running in task manager. Are you using 64-bit or 32-bit os?

Did you try changing the the drive letter assigned to it? Also try disabling floppy drive in bios.

You are trying to hard! Since it's your first time I'd suggest just take whatever you get and try building it. You can improve the future ones :toast:
