AMD's Upcoming UDNA / RDNA 5 GPU Could Feature 96 CUs and 384-bit Memory Bus

That's been the case for a while now, especially with the last two xx60Ti cards. Oft system integrators or OEMs will shy away from directly saying it's an 8GB card in the first place to avoid dissuading a buyer who might have heard of the whole debacle, which I find rather insidious. Such cards...

AMD's Upcoming UDNA / RDNA 5 GPU Could Feature 96 CUs and 384-bit Memory Bus

A little napkin math comparing N6 to N4P proves this notion mostly correct, in terms of viability a cheaper old product is better than attempting to minimize a new one, though with something like a cut-down Navi... 55, assuming the pattern holds?—the whole point is attempting to salvage...

AMD's Upcoming UDNA / RDNA 5 GPU Could Feature 96 CUs and 384-bit Memory Bus

Ideally the 8GB variant would be a cut down version of the full-size 32 CU die, thinking something like 24CU/8GB in the 75-100W range. That much could shave it down to a $230-250 card. But I'm not the one approving product designs/price stacks, so we'd have to wait and see what AMD has planned...

AMD's Upcoming UDNA / RDNA 5 GPU Could Feature 96 CUs and 384-bit Memory Bus

All I need is a successor to the 9060 XT that actually meets/exceeds a 7800 XT. If UDNA can keep the costs down (at least in the low-midrange segment), I'm happy. The rest is just the rest.

Ugreen Sneaks Out the DH4300 Plus Arm Based NAS

Indeed, though I consider this a 'Minisforum' ordeal—you're more likely to find it 'on sale' than not. The MSRP is, ironically given current circumstances in other markets, deceptively high to make the 'sale price' a tastier-looking deal. For the price direct from UGreen + shipping, this is a...

European HPC Processor "Rhea1" Tapes Out, Launch Delayed to 2026

And I do not disagree. In absolute terms, yes, processor Y is more efficient and the obvious choice for a business concerned with productivity. My problem comes in that the power consumption has increased, regardless of other contextual factors. Work done has increased per watt-hour, but the...

European HPC Processor "Rhea1" Tapes Out, Launch Delayed to 2026

I find this disagreeable. While, yes, more modern processors are more efficient in an absolute sense, within the context of 'green' operations, processors tend to worsen. It's more productive to push the hardware harder and harder to eke out more performance, get work done faster and faster and...

    Fractal Design Epoch RGB TG

I'd say the price is the most stomach-souring part of this case. If this were made to slot in slightly above the Focus/Pop series, this would be incredibly enticing. Fractal's looks tend to please, especially for people with more 'modern'-styled furnishings. As is however, for $120? There are a...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8 GB

Eh, maybe? But 5050 Mobile has already been slated to use a maxed out GB207. If you wanna count it, though, RTX PRO 1000 Blackwell is probably going to fetch a far higher price for no real merit, lol.

How about AMD instead of Intel?

Like far too many have said, a sudden degradation in performance following a Windows update would likely indicate that some sort of security mitigation or unnecessary service is running in the background and eating CPU resources. I'd start there and see if you can get your performance back to a...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 8 GB

$250 was already a tough sell, $275 for this hunk'a sand? Seriously? The card itself isn't bad, It's filling a spot the 4060 used to dutifully, but for this asking price it's essentially pointless. This is an entry-level card, no ifs, ands, or buts about it, and that means it needs to go for...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs Make a Dent in Latest Steam Hardware Survey

The 9070 series makes an appearance in the Linux-Only charts, though lumped together into one entry. Given the total lack of presence on the Windows/all-OS charts and the shaky amount of representation on Linux, I'd assume that they're not being reported accurately at all. Nevermind that people...

    What would you buy?

The 9060 XT 16GB is the card I would buy if I had to replace my GPU immediately. I would still consider the B580 the best if you're buying from scratch, however. It's just enough to get you going at a price that won't make your wallet cry, and for most people looking to step into PC gaming...

Landmark Esports Suite Launches on UK Aircraft Carrier as Royal Navy and British Esports Partner for Unique Facility

Context of the post you're referencing is that these aren't the new iteration of Area 51 models. These are the old Aurora models, which beyond being the typical Dell OEM fare are generally absolutely terrible for the price—and in my personal sense of taste, nauseatingly gaudy. They could have...

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Trails RTX 4060 but Leaps Ahead with Multi-Frame Generation

AND IN COMES THE 3060TI WITH A STEEL CHAIR! Jokes aside, as much as I wanna like the 5050 for what it is, all I can think about is that this product is what the 4060 should have been years ago. If the 4060 came out for $250, people would be over the moon about it, but it's too little, too...
