i'll be ordering my 2nd gtx260 next friday (not this one coming up)

but question is.... would my single pump be able to handle a cpu waterblock, and 2 gpu waterblocks along with 2 radiators!

i supposed if i minimize the tube length i will be fine

If I was you, I'd do another pump. The reason is with all that your having go threw, The pump probably will give up steam around the GPU's or rad... To me, a safe way is if your going SLI or Crossfire, you need that second pump and rad to do it all.
But, that is my take on it all. Safe is all ways better

ya, i have the very same take... but i wno't have all the money to do that all at the same time :(

so i guess i'll just buy the gtx260 first.. and run 1 with water and 1 without... lol, guess the overclocking will just be put on hold

i definitely want another liang d5 vario... and i need a triple rad for the gpu's.. i'm only a dual now.. with both my gpu and cpu

Why didn't any of you PM me and let me know that GTX260 kicked so much ass?

I was stuck in the red district ;) It seems that the core and shader core overclock really well, but the memory has to be taken up slowly if at all or the results of core overclocks don't show. Seems to be a tricky balancing act. Currently @ 662/1451/1000

Don't lose faith I just called Thermalright . Production starts on the HR-03 gtx, for the 260/280gtx, this week and they said the reason it's not on the web page is they redesigned it a bit to make it the best you can buy hands down.

I've thought about aftermarket cooling, even water cooling, but is that going to make these 280s clock any higher? Just doesn't seem to be a temp thing. Unless there's a way to vmod these things....

I am scouring for a voltmod for my 260, even though she clocks well......I have a need for speed! If there is one though, I too will need some decent aftermarket cooling.

I hope so! I'm waiting.. want to try that out before I even go to water with this card.

I do have a link where some guys vmodded a GTX280 and had it under water, link is on the OP. Some interesting findings there, but I don't think anything too special iirc. I'm pretty sure the power circuitry is pretty close between 260's and 280's.

Yeah, I am kind of miserable now, it seems that those who have tried a mod still dont get higher clocks then mine without a mod because it seems that extra voltage does not help the shaders on either the 280 or 260 and as we know the core is linked to the shaders then there is little to be gained

Maybe the upcoming 40nm 200 variations will be better suited to higher clocks, at least if things go as planned by NV lol. I guess we can only watch and wait! You have one helluva card tatty, my 216 doesn't go nearly as far as my 192 did, but it makes up for the difference...must be the shaders.

I'm suprised more people have not attained your level of OC or beyond to 900, there's gotta be something out there...I know there is some limitation to these chips...and as gen1 we've probably met the wall that will stop us till gen 2, 3 and beyond. Either way I'm not too bothered, all my games play so smooth, and look so damn good!

Some do...depends on the brand. Just make sure when you purchase the card it show the adapters in the images. I believe BFG does ship with those...My MSI did not.

Also a VOLT Mod is not going to do much of anything. The thing you really need to think about is removing the IHS. I have my Schick PLatnums ready to go...but Im to far into Farcry and Fallout 3 to risk ruining my card right now. Once I get past FO3 I think I will give it a go.

Direct contact on the core is going to add a lot to heat transfer and I think that is where the wall is really at, not so much voltage. Although with the IHS off and a VoltMod that could lead to something good.

Since this is a 260/280 tread, Ithought I would share my baby with you guys..:)

its BIOS modded to boot at 729/1216 1458 shader
I run it at 24/7 at 756/1242-1512 shader
I haven't gone any higher, but I might push it soon...
