PlayStation.BLOG reminds today that PlayStation Home will enter into open beta, and will be available to everyone tomorrow. PlayStation Home is a 3D social gaming community available on PS3 that allows users to interact, communicate and share gaming experiences. Within PlayStation Home, users can create and customize their own unique avatars and explore virtual community in real time where they can communicate freely through text or voice chat. PlayStation Home users will not only be able to enjoy variety of entertainment content such as mini-games, videos and special events along with their friends, but will also be able to create their own community by starting clubs with other PlayStation Home users who share the same interests. Even purchasing customizable furniture and designer clothes will be possible with PlayStation Home. That's only a fraction of the features that will be available initially, not to mention that this is not a final version and there're still many updates to come. PlayStation Home, available as a free download starting December 11th, will launch directly from the PlayStation Home icon on the PlayStation Network column of XMB (XrossMediaBar) on PS3. After that date, SCE will vigorously promote the service and work with its partners to introduce new services. If you want to know more, hit the source link.

I really dont understand HOME at all. I own a PS3 and have tried the beta, and it just seems a bit "wtf is this for?" if you get me.

yes and if im not mistaken so is Home, for PS Home the only thing you might hav e to pay for is like furniture and crap in the game

hehe all the haters coming out to bash. everything is free except if you want to buy speciality items for your home or whatever. but most of those items can be won by playing your PS3 games and winning achievements and trophies.

....WTF? im not a PS3 hater....iv supported it since day 1 i hate the 360 i was simply curious..and then i followed it up with a whisical comment...perhaps all the ASSUMERS shouldnt assume so much?
 
PSN is garbage! no wonder it is free
okay you get a free thing called home but whats the point in it, you dont do much what is it second life for playstation? its not even like sims where the goal is to go through life making cash doing up a crib trying to make it higher in rank in job or cheat and make a mansion

you can go to the cinema and stream trailers but its not like thats revolutionary you could already do that

you can go virtual bowling and look at crappy adverts for perfume and crap

i cant wait till people start getting banned and connection cuts out ect

this is for putting up with the crap PSN you make a character and walk around ohhh!

edit: go ahead bash me for hating psn and home but dont bash me for being a xbox owner
 
Hmmm sounds interesting ive been ummming and arrring about getting a ps3 for some time blue ray little big planet sounds good to me.
