They are rubbish in terms of spec. Why put out a new range with old hardware?
All options are stuck with Intel's IGP x3100 and the same old 1280x800 screen.

what cpu comes with the $600 model? i only see core2duo as an available option. also, dell has the worst designs of any manufacturer IMO.

Those are the options of the Inspiron 1525 Model which is not the Inspiron 15 model. Inspiron 1525 (Intel) and 1526 (AMD) are sometimes branded as Inspiron 15, which adds to the confusion. I don't see the specs of the NEW Inspiron 15 listed on the US Dell site, but I would hope that these would be built on the Intel Montevina platform.

@Flint, well from list, it did say Inspiron 15. Then after taking you to that page does it state it as 1525.
So they need to get either their naming conventions in order, or their website.

Gzero. No argument from me on that point. This is a fuzzy launch as it is.

Yeah, I don't much like that 1366 x 768 res. Maybe that is due to the 16:9 aspect ration though. The Intel 4500 is supposed to provide HD playback, but not anything close to the Nvidia, or ATI for gaming. This notebook is strictly for the budget minded consumer.
