These cpus are available @ Frys store. The 720BE is $144. It was tempting, but going to hold for a while to see if it will drop in price.

I am curious as to why AMD sells X3 processors and Intel does not. Is it because AMD processors are true four-core processors and Intel's are not? I know that they are X3 because they turn off one of the cores.

The X3's are priced to compete with the Intel Core 2 Duo line and are priced VERY competitively. The Phenom II X3 720 should beat a E8400, if not the PII 810/910.
