Galaxy Innovates GeForce GTX 285 High Performance Design

Pushing up the ante with innovation, Galaxy has come up with a new GeForce GTX 285 variant. No, it's not another cost-saving design, but rather the other way round: a mix of high-grade components. There are a few features which makes Galaxy's new card stand out:

• A 4+2 phase digital PWM power design as opposed to the 6-phase analog design on reference NVIDIA PCB. The VRM controller supports the necessary interface for software voltage control
• Redundant BIOS, two EEPROM chips on the PCB, possible BIOS profile switching feature
• Arctic Cooling Accelero XTREME GTX cooling

The listed features put this card a few notches above even the reference design. Galaxy may announce this card in the weeks to come.

this card is longer than referece,i think there was litle problem if we had to mount it in in standart case..

This is a very nice design.

Perfect for those peeps who want silent desktops.

1./ You can underclock it
2./ You can undervolt it
3./ You can slow those fans down

Looks good, I have been considering getting one of those coolers for my GTX260-216, though the stock cooler works very well, that card is also nice..I don't think the upgrade path would be worth it, and I don't have the cash but it looks tempting! Good to see some step up the ante too!

I agree man, I'd like an aftermarket cooler for my GTX260-192 even though my temps are good, 60% fan speed isnt too loud but isnt quiet. Stock cooler is damn goodoo though. . When I get time, or just feel like it, I'd like to put AS5 on my GPU.
