ooo voltmodding the X1900 why would anyone want to read a article about such old hardware as the X1900

W1zzard you should be ashamed of yourself for having posts about hardware so old it hasn't even been released yet :wtf:

Nope nothing new on this site al all :slap:

Dude sounds like you need to be directing your frustration at Abit, seems to be the source of your frustration :p

W1zz ... does this mean I'm fired? :slap: .... oh ... forget the new review on the X1950 ... no use in posting that out of date crap ... hehe :nutkick: GO BRENT! ummm does this mean he's not a fan anymore? :wtf:

sick little puppy

Dude you have way to much free time if you are stressing like this.
And if you dont like it then ...... please f... of.:nutkick:

Oh yeah stay of the harddrugs:eek:

That's the competition talking, odds are W1zzard...

(Yes, I could be wrong, but not imo @ least! I've seen that before myself, & it always makes me laugh... people: They can be SO 'transparent' @ times!)

:)

* Heh, nothing like using "constructive critique" to your advantage I say... posting it openly for feedback & all that!

APK

P.S.=> I chose the forums here for 2 reasons: Folks here, they are REALLY "proficient" w/ modern hardwares & OLDER ONES AS WELL (an area I let "slide" for years, more than 1/2 a decade in fact)... they've gotten me 'up-to-speed' in less than 6 months time already here, far better @ this than I was prior to coming here.

Secondly? The mods & folks here are some of the NICEST I have met over time (especially with me, I can be a REAL stubborn prick @ times making points, & nobody has given me TOO much "guff" over my ways, which CAN be tough to tolerate admittedly - something I have to work on myself, persona-wise!).

I am GLAD I chose this forum, for hardware-know-how & cool people (because, let's face it & I am NOT above this either: Lots of "geek angst" in this field, & competitiveness - this forum is NOT NEARLY AS "BAD" AS OTHERS IN THIS REGARD, imo @ least)

I have been all over the web for nearly 13 years now online, & this place? Stands out hugely by way of comparison to MANY others (head & shoulders above the rest)... apk

Amen to that, I like posting not just for serious issues, but also for the community / friendly chat. We got a nice bunch here :)

Me--> :toast: <-- All you good folks :)

I think this guy needs to learn how to search the site...all our reviews are for up to date stuff, the news is updated frequently (I should start helping again soon), the databases are up-to-date, and the modding tools are very nicely supported. And anything that isn't covered in those is discussed in the TPU forums regularly. Perhaps this guy needs to go beyond the older articles and softmod, and try looking at Techpowerup more closely. And W1zzard please don't fire me I like the nice pay .

that guys an asshole, this site is updated all the time

No the guys NOT an asshole.

I agree that new hardware is posted regularly here - maybe not every new item on the planet, but mainstream stuff.

What I agree with a 100000000% is the original poster's experience with POS mobos and warranty of same. In numerous e-mails to Abit prior to considering a purchase of their RD480/580 mobos, it became very clear to me that Abit Tech Support and sales could not BUY a clue. They could not even answer basic mobo questions on existing RD480 mobos nor had they seen an AT8 32 mobo even though every PC hardware site on the planet was running Abit's PR hype for said board with picture included. I said thanks, but keep your clueless Techs and defective mobo - which it is IMO.

To me it's outright fraud to ship defective hardware or software that does not perform as advertised and to industry standards at the bare minimum - especially when charging a premium price. The Asian mobo makers as a group have taken this to the highest level of fraud I've ever seen in the PC industry and they should be ashamed. Anyone who knowingly buys defective mobos or other PC hardware (See D-Link as an example), after the defects have been reported online by honest hardware review sites, (and there are NOT many of these sites left...), deserves to get burned. Despite the reality that most of the Asian mobos in recent years have been CRAP at best, the sheep rush right out and pay thru the nose for this crap with ZERO Tech Support / warranty for the defects. And as long as they do, then the Asian mobo companies will continue to ship CRAP. Abit was saved from EOL via a buyout. Now Asus has formed an alliance with Gigabyte. With the documented crap Asus has been shipping the past few years they might be the next Titanic?

mhm, true...but that point has nothing to do with Techpowerup.com...

I am still contemplating if I should take the "Fire your team" comment personal or not...

cheers

Everyone's a critic now, in the age of the "BLOG" & everyone's an expert... remember that!

P.S.=> 99 Luft Balloons "everyone's a Capt. Kirk"... apk

Lol.

P.S. you were kind to the person by blanking out the email, I'm sure most of the readers would have had a field day if you had left it on :)

TPU is Home Sweet, Home Page! I like it more than my own web site! And I am my biggest fan.

Staff here is great. Information and Updates are great. Forum users are the best and the ones that suck get banned by the great staff.

TPU is the best Tech site or forum on the planet. Hands down.

Plus, the price is right.

Thanks for all you do Wizz.
Later,

i thinks someone is in serious need of a "mental adjustment"...
*cough*ahem*brent*cough*ahem*

sorry about that... i seem to be coming down with a cold...

Here's something for you:

I had to return an ABIT motherboard and indeed got a refurbished board in return (true story)

It never crossed my mind to blame the team at TPU! Now I have someone to channel my anger at! This is awsome, I feel so much better now. :D <-MEDS

Oh, and the refurbished board is working great. But man, those guys at TPU!

wow, what a g0d damn douchebag

Ask W1zzard, maybe you can be an undercover newsposter like I am :). Oh yes quick off topic question. Manelore, does that mean "Mandalorian", the race Jango (and Boba and the storm troopers) descended from in Star Wars? Because I've seen your avatar way too many times while playing Star Wars Bounty Hunter lol.

If I have to be honest I`ll only say "You gotta be kidding man!"

Mandelore, does that mean "Mandalorian", the race Jango (and Boba and the storm troopers)

yup, the pic is a Mandalorian Mythosaur Skull Insignia, and my name, well, some foolio stole the correct spelling mandalore (leader of the mandalorians) on eve-online, so i had to use mandelore. Anyhoo, so i stuck with that :) well spotted btw, brownie points for you meladdo

I actually got the name from the KOTOR series fyi
