DFI Intros Blood Iron G41-T33 Motherboard

DFI made a new addition to its popular LAN Party Blood Iron lineup, which offers overclocker-friendly features on a budget. The Blood Iron G41-T33 is the first micro-ATX model in the series, and uses the Intel G41 + ICH10 chipset. The board remains minimalistic, taking care of only the essentials as far as components go. The LGA-775 socket is powered by a 3-phase circuit. There are two DDR2 DIMM slots, with support for dual-channel DDR2-1066 memory. The G41 northbridge packs an Intel GMA X4500 IGP. Expansion is care of one PCI-E x16, a PCI-E x1, and two PCI slots. The southbridge provides four SATA II ports internally. 6-channel audio and gigabit Ethernet make for the rest of this product. The LAN Party G41-T33 is expected to retail for around US $90.

The board would make a good htpc set up.. But, I'm wanting a i7/i5 version of the Blood Iron. Then I may go that route of board

yes, and only 4 SATA...

and for this price, a have the M3A78-EM or M4A78-EM of ASUS...

With the love and luck I had with the org. I would grab this. I still need to play more with the P45 conterpart also..

if you're making a true MATX system, you need ~250GB for OS and games, and 1 1TB+ for storage. add in an optical drive, and you still have one spare - you arent going to have many HDD slots in a mATX case anyway.

i broke the HDD cage in my old one, couldnt fit any more than 1

mmmm yes, maybe.. but i don't use it in a mATX case.. i think more in a server for downloads and media station... and use a 1TB HDD don't like, i use a 2 500GB + DVD RW + HDD OS... i don´t know, just think that can have more...

very awesome to see DFI making low end boards I kinda wanna see some low end amd offerings now. Blood Iron 770/SB710/DDR3 would be pretty sweet.

A pretty versatile DFI setup is the DFI LP JR 790GX M2RS.

I got two of those, running 4870x2cfx setup in one, and it rocks

Or you can run a cheap ass cpu and igp on it.

2 PCI-e 790GX good pwm, Loads of good specs, what more can you ask for?

It is also fairly cheap, all depends on the money at hand, but i'd go for a nvidia chipset or amd solution with 780g/790gx since they're way faster and lower TPD + 1080P playback smoothly

Every Blood Iron board looks like a cheap board version of that chipset. They should just handle lots of FSB and have a good OC bios.
