Anyone use Ultra? I cant find much on them.

I've used total of five Ultra power supplies over the years, two modular ones (from the eye-catching Titanium series) and three non-modular ones. I've never had any problems with them. Never had a piece of hardware attached to them die or had the power supplies themselves die on me. Also, Ultra are the only ones to offer lifetime warranty on their power supplies upon registration. (You get only one year if you don't register.) That's pretty extraordinary. With that said I've heard some horror stories about Ultra power supplies over at HardForum, but again myself I've experienced zero problems with them.

I'm very pleased w/ my Ultra PSU and can recommend them, great price, great product.
Mine feels very solid, supplies very stable power and really is great IMO. Never had a single PSU related problem with it.:rockout:
I think the others like Cosair are just about brand name more than anything else, but that's just my opinion (and not factoring in the efficiency, of course the 80+ gold are the best:p).

I have a LSP 750w and a 450w v-series I think can't find box, both still run great, and stay really cool. I always wanted one of their X series but never wanted to pay that much for a psu. Oh my bestbuy has ultra psu's or at least did when I got my Ultra LSP 750 for like 40$.

I haven't made the jump yet to modular, but maybe later.....

I've built 3 systems with Ultra's X3 PSU. One is my gamer with a 1000W, the other two were for "customers" with smaller wattage units. All have a couple of years on them now with flawless results. The flat cabling and fully modular plugs are incredibly handy for cable managment. You can actually run the main power cable behind the motherboard... and I don't mean behind the motherboard tray, that's easy. You try running your normal main cable behind a motherboard and watch what happens.
