Noctua Presents NH-D14 Premium CPU Cooler

Lmao, i can completely agree that removing a cooler to swap ram sucks, but it "could" still work. It is sort of a buzzkill that it is an enthusiast cooler was built without the inthusiast in mind it seems:)

Of course every board is different and it may not play up on some. For those who can use it, it sounds very promissing.

Nothing is perfect, but it seems that its overall a decent cooler. Ive had a couple coolers that made RAM accessibility a complete bish. Although, those coolers are the ones that have preformed the best.

Looks like it has low fpi.. so it really is designed for quiet fans..

I for one prefer heatpiped tower coolers with high fpi.. couple that with High pressure fans for ultimate cooling performance. fan noise for me is irelevant (heck my ventilator is even louder.) Compare that to the gains in framerate from high stable oc.

so I guess this is a pass.

I hope this will make the TRUE trail behind and the megahalems/shadow too.

Too many new sweet looking heatsinks being release, example thor's hammer it looked like a beast it also looked like it could suck in all the heat from the computer and engulf itself. Though when it came to benchmarking it was just around or a bit behind the TRUE. =[

Am I the only one that thinks the colors Noctua uses for thier fans is just fugly(f-cking ugly to those that don't know what fugly is)?

No, quite a lot of us do ha ha.

I describe them as "smokers fans"

You know when you you have a friend with a really old rig and they smoke? the fans look like the nicotine/dust build up lol

Naa smoked up plastic gets much more yellow-ish. IMO they look pretty decent, then again I'm not that good with colours

Ahh your one of the lucky ones then, some of the rigs I've taken apart are horrific

Noctua solutions certainly cool better than Xigmatek solutions and are more high quality too , besides their price tags are also different so it is quite natural for that to happen.

Oh? Lets seem some benches and we will see some real "bang for the buck".

MailMan you obviously did not understand that i was not refering to performance/price ratio.
