I say this.. I got some Gskill tridents that are labeled at 2000mhz and their some of the best ram I've had. I've got them going at 2200mhz and no problems what so ever.. I say anything Gskill will be a great thing for ya.. Tridents, Rigjaws..

As for team Group. I all ways seen long ago that their good ram, but it's built for gaming. Their good ram is via more money then their worth..

DDR3 ram list is the best list I can tell ya to look for ram.

Team Group makes some excellent ram, particularly their Team Xtreem series. Right up there with Cell shock, CSX and higher end Gskill, Crucial, Corsair and Mushkin.

As far as high speed memory goes. It's really diminishing returns. A set of 2000's will be slightly faster than a set of 1600's at tighter timings.

RAM faster than 1600 is pretty much overkill for average Joe,I'd personally look for some CAS 7 1600/1333

I have some crappy DDR3 1333 CL9 right now, so anything is signifciantly better :toast:

... so anything is significantly better :toast:

significantly better for what?
if you think you'll get a huge performance upgrade with faster ram, you're wrong.

faster/lower latency ram will improve your synthetic benchmarks, but in real life it will bring you almost "nothing". from 1333 MHz to 2000 MHz you can expect 2-5 FPS more in games and say up to 5-10 seconds faster work in AV encoding.

if that is worth you're money, go for it... but from my experience, unless you are on slowest cheapest first gen 1066 MHz ram, for average user it's just not worth the money.

Better for OC :p
The RAM I have right now is actually limiting my OC. :shadedshu
It couldn't do the clocks it needs for a higher FSB/HT/Base Clock/whatever.

So what else is better for the money?
Trade up for a PII 965?

Yeah these would be a nice increase. Also especially when overclocking although don't know if helps with AMD though.

How about 955?
Its the same core, same unlocked multipliers, same oc potential and it's cheaper

Like Paul said, Team Ram is pretty good especially Team Extreme. Go for it I say.

Faster RAM doesn't really produce a real-world noticeable difference.
