Dell has just announced a new 20-inch LCD to pad out their lineup. The new E207WFP will be the little brother of Dell's 2007WFP model. It won't have USB hub, composite and S-Video ports. Other features like native widescreen resolution of 1,680 x 1,050 pixels, 20.1-inch viewing area and a DVI port with HDCP will be available as well as new panel with 5ms response time. The best news comes in the form of the $289 pricetag, compared to the 2007WFP's $529 MSRP. The E207WFP should be available immediately worldwide now.

I have a Dell 2005FPW got it for $300 .cnd used and i like it. Allthou this looks to be a better deal.
 
I only just bought a 2007FPW.... Oh well, I'll get on of these to complement it.

Might be a good deal as a new monitor, but don't forget the 2005FPW is superior when it comes to connectivity, PIP and all that. I don't know about this lcd's panel, but by it's response time, it looks to be a TN, which suck in movies and graphic work. The "old" 2005FPW has an IPS panel, which rules when it comes to color precision...

that looks like a top notch price but whats is th e quality like>?
 
With this monitor entering the market, this can only be good for us (the buyers).
The reason I say that is b/c Dell is finally making a budget 20" LCD.
Now they are going to give Viewsonic, BenQ, Acer, etc. a run for their money.
And of course that means more competition and possibly lower prices in the future.

Plus dont forget Dell's return policy. It may make companies look over their policies as well.

But I agree with many people wondering how this will do. Obv. it is a TN panel, not just bc of the response time, but also the price. IPS panels are always more expensive.

Cant wait for reviews. If anyone finds a review please post as I am interested in seeing one.

I have one too. I have one year with it and I'm still very very happy with it. One of the best lcd's I have seen.

At that price i could get a 2ed montair and not have to shell out $500+ muum 2 20.1 inch LCDS.....
