Don't let the DANGEROUS stuff inside leak.....as it will explode...its a (un)known fact. But for the price...water coolering is a better option.

Wow, this is so wrong its not even funny.

Sodium doesn't react violently with air at all. Yes it is an Alkali Metal group but its reactivity is limited to massive amounts in water creating problems.

Don't go putting out this information without anything to back it up.

That being said, because of Sodiums properties we will be very unlikely to see something like this here in NA.

Although the Volume of Thermals that it holds is not as great as water, its ability to absorb and dissipate heat is greater than that of water as a medium. And using an EM Pump is much more reliable than standard LC Pumps.

Good cooler, be nice though once they figure out a way to make a loop out of it an Gallenstien.

It will corrode at a crazy rate and possibily damage components due to the exothermic reaction to the water in the air but it won't explode unless your board is soaking wet or something :cool:

Its not Pure Sodium in there either as Sodium is a solid at room temperature stored in Oil.
What is in there is more than likely a Gallinum/Tin/Sodium Mixture as that will remain a Liquid at 20 Degrees.

And once you start alloying metals you change the overall properties, so it will be highly unlikely for any type of dangerous reaction.

I was only going by your post of sodium, I didn't bother to look to see what the liquid metal coolant was made off.

As for neglecting to remember sodium is a solid.

That was just idiocy heh.

When I went to school I remember getting all worked up because our teacher was organising a caesium reaction for us!

Yeah in University Chem I played with Rhubidum (Spelling I know, to lazy to wiki now).
That stuff is dangerous.

I admit mine too when I make them. I've been playing with Gallium/Indium/Tin alloys for a while with what knowledge I have, and the knowledge my Mother has (Masters Chem/Metallurgy) since my fasination with thermo has been long stretched.

Its neat stuff.
