Oh, that makes sense of the 3DMark score then. And if you're able to run it at the Aquamark3 clocks then yes, it's a good performing card. Otherwise it's a normally overclocked card... ;) . I get roughly the same scores when I clock my card 410/265 so. (but once again my CPU does help a teeny bit, although it is less with 3DMark03) And your dual channel RAM may also bring up the Aquamark score. Lucky you. :p

I only have 512MB so I can't just donate a half of my memory just for textures... Hehe. But yeah, if you have a lot of memory why not. I don't quite think I'll get a few thousand more marks in Aquamark if I set that to 256MB though. What interests me is fast writes, it doesn't have a real performance incluence in most cases. And it sometimes makes your overclocked graphics card unstable. But I've yet to prove that theory. Just for interests' sake. :)

the omega drivers set fast writes off by default because of that and says to only enable them if
your 9600 doest work without them i could enable it and do afew benches .. maybe cos of the dual channel ram and the extra agp apt size is why i got the extra few thousand

What did you do to get 15000 vs. the 12000 that you got yesterday? I would like to know...

well what i did was rerun the test with the agp ap size at max (it wasnt the first time) i also set the ram timings down from 8-3-4-4 to 6-2.0-3-3 (thats about a 25% increase i think but im not sure there) and i havent run it since i set the hynix 4ns ram on the card to the right time they came from ATI at hynix 5ns timings ... dont know why they did that.also ive noticed i have genuine ATI and INTEL products and maybe that helps with the test cos of quality of the componints can take more of a beatingand heating up  i dont know cos i havent ever done overclocking till i joined this site

you should get another sitck of ram and try the tests yourself with agp apt size set to max ans running in dual channel see what happens

I don't have a dual channel motherboard. I have an Asus K8V-X. But this isn't really something I'm too worried about... ;)
