Corsair Officially Announces Hydro Series H70 CPU Cooler

Corsair, a worldwide designer and supplier of high-performance components to the PC gaming hardware market, today announced the Corsair Hydro Series H70 ultra-performance CPU cooler. This CPU cooler is designed to provide an extremely efficient cooling solution for CPUs from Intel and AMD.

The Hydro Series H70 CPU cooler is an evolution of the award-winning Hydro Series H50, with several significant upgrades that enable it to deliver even greater cooling performance. These upgrades include a double-thickness (50mm) radiator with higher heat-exchanging capacity and a pump/cold plate unit with increased efficiency. The H70 also features two 120mm speed-switchable cooling fans in a push-pull configuration to provide increased airflow at low noise levels.

Bigger rad, smaller pump, crappy fans you do the math. With a couple of decent fans this could some damage unfortunately to your wallet first.

This is a kind of relevant story. I had to RMA my broken 520w Corsair PSU and they sent my a new sealed 650w PSU. They don't make the old 520w, but I thought it was awesome when I opened up the box expecting a crappy refurb PSU.

I've heard a lot of opposite stories saying that Corsair is terrible with customer support.

Anyway. It says no maintenance required in the info for this thing. What does that exactly translate to? No refilling of liquid? No leaks in the tube/s? If it's the best of both worlds, then I might just wait for the H70 to come out so that the H50 will drop in price a little bit then I will press the purchase trigger. Because who knows what Corsair will charge for this new revision.

your a number just like with any other company fortunatly my experinces have been great. theres 90 great sotries for every 20 bad ones. Like i said we are just numbers.

I had an h50 did what it was suppose to do. Went to a fan because there was no difference in noise and the threshold is higher of what i could do and in hot room summer situations. But for those with slight overclocks to med its great. Its also (even concentrated) not exactly anywhere near real water cooling. But its still something different and pretty cool

Honestly, any charts from a manufacturer trying to hype up their product needs to be taken with a grain of salt. I'd say it'll be a couple degrees better at best but that's enough to top the charts.
