After thinking about this for a while i am getting very curious about its passive cooling ability for mid range cards as many of them have a 2 heatpipe heatsink with a fan so would 4 times the heat pipes make up for no fan? (would not expect the same temps though)

It will be plenty for mid range cards, sidepanel fan should offer plenty of airflow.

It's the ram/mosfets that you need to be concerned about no the GPU with this thing though XD

True but after spending a while with some zalman ram sinks on my 4870's vrm's i decided to chop up my original cover plate to use just the back and drill some holes/indents to give more surface area and screwed it back on with thermal paste and am very happy with the results so i would happly slightly mod something for myself.

But i'm sure there will be some included sinks for the ram and vrm's as it would be crazy to sell a heatsink like this without cooling for other components.

Thermal-right make separate mosfet coolers, they still want to be selling you those.

So they will come with cooling, just not brilliant cooling.

Damn it, you reminded me of the thermalright vrm coolers, it would truly suck to have to buy one of those as well as im sure this thing is not going to come cheep.

But as i said i'm happy to make something myself so not a problem for me :D
