Sony PlayStation 3 Officially Supports Blu-ray 3D Playback

Yay, now all those people in the world with a PS3 and a 3D TV can rejoice.

The whole group of 14 people.

Of which I am one of the few, the proud, the nerdy! :)

I defiantly want to see this in action before I throw down the $$$$ for a 3D tv.

Fixed.;) lol

lol. It was a birthday present to myself I say. It was that or an engagement ring, but since the girl and I broke up I all of the sudden had some discretionary cash....:pimp:

Read an article on Joystiq that says that with 1080P 3D the audio output is limited to DTS or DD, no lossless formats. Don't know if its a hardware limitation (HDMI 1.3 vs 1.4) or what, but that is a little bit of a bummer, since the difference between them is actually quite noticeable.

do you have a linksie to that?

I would be much inclined to read that as my equipment wants MOAR POWA!!! namely lossless audio

that's disappointing. They make it sound like it's just a FW thing and not an actual hardware limitation. It will be interesting to see what develops from this....

Nevermind me going 3D with the PS3 then, that's way to much for some ugly ass glasses that are supposed make things pop out at me.

My 50in samsung came with a free 3d bluray player and a set of glasses.;)
