Its a good HTPC GPU.... bbut for $70, you could get a 4670 or a 5570 that performs better according to the the TPU review

Its not always about the bandwidth. Proccessing power is what matters lol... If my friends HD 5570 40nm, can keep up to my 9800 GT 65nm, then Im sure the GTS 430 would have no probs holding its own aswell.

Agree'd.. They make 1-3 new models then disable what they see fit on the 'budget' ones to meet market demand. :shadedshu
Our economy sucks mainly because it rewards inefficientcy. (spelling? lol)

they crippled this thing with 4 ROPS and GDDR3 imo, 8 ROPS and GDDR5 and I think it'd be at least 40-50% faster. will make a great budget folder or PhysX card tho

Would a GT 240 with 8 ROPS and GDDR5 beat this card? Even my GT 220 has twice the ROPs and half the shaders. Seems like it gets beaten by an HD 5570 a majority of the time.

Wonder how it folds compared to a GT 240.

Makes me want one of these cards. They look so cute Also if i look at the chart, 11fps in Crysis with 4xFSAA. That's pretty demanding for such card and getting 11fps out ain't that bad really. Still unplayable but it means it can run some games pretty well. If you're a Left 4 Dead series fan it's a decent card. Or if you like older games from before 2005. I mean i play really old games quite a lot.

But the 9600 GT performs better i believe, and if you can find that cheaper then a 430, then that's definitely the thing to pick imo.
